Preserving and Sharing Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland Local History
As Seen on TV!
You may remember us as WADD-TV on your local public access channels, or Mid-American Heritage Preservation Foundation (MAHP). WADD-TV and MAHP have come together in Downtown Hammond to become Turner House Media. All of WADD-TV's classic original broadcast productions and all of MAHP's local history original productions are now together as part of Turner House Media.

Since the early 1990s as WADD-TV, Anthony Diaz, has been collecting and sharing local history in film and photo. His love for old films had combined with his love for his hometown of Hammond, Indiana and he began a film-transfer service. With donated films and photos from friends and neighbors in The Region, Anthony began his flagship video series, "This Old Town" - which he aired on Hammond's public access cable stations.
From there, his love for The Region in films fueled him to create over 100 original local history productions. You may recognize the titles, "Standard Oil Fire of 1955", "The Blizzard of 1967", and "We Remember Hammond". These titles, and many more, are now available here. Revisit Hammond and NWI through classic Hammond Report and local public access programs. Go back in time to visit the steel mills and factories that built the Indiana and Illinois known as "The Region". Take an old-time ride on the historic South Shore Line.
Or, give the gift of a precious memory to your favorite history buff. Shop our original local history productions and original local books and documents. Turner House Media gathers up your memories every day, so check back often for new merchandise!
Whether you're a lifetime resident - or a chick that has flown the coop - you are sure to enjoy these trips down memory lane!

FilmTHM is ever watchful for locally historic ephemeral films...home movies, local industry films, original Beta and VHS recordings. These are the cornerstones of our collection of original local history productions on DVD.
If you're new to Turner House Media, start with our flagship series, "This Old Town", taking you down memory lane in your home town! |
PhotoOur grandparents photos in attics and basements are often lost to heat and water damage. When these classic pieces of history contain images of our neighborhoods and businesses, our churches and our schools, they have been salvaged to digital media and included in some of our original DVD productions. If you need help getting your precious images to digital, contact us today. We can help you save those memories!

DocumentsLocal High School yearbooks, newspapers carefully saved from some of the most iconic periods in our history, maps, blueprints, guides...our interest is piqued when we find our city streets and neighborhoods depicted in local publications from long ago. You'll find some of these included in our productions, and some original items are for sale here. Check back often for new items, as we find them!
